FedUni Children’s Centre’s Annual Art Exhibition

We’re delighted to be able to share a good news story from the team at FedUni Children’s Centres.

FedUni Children’s Centres are located at Federation University’s Mt Helen, Ballarat CBD (SMB) and Churchill campuses, providing quality childcare and kindergarten programs for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Each year children from FedUni Children’s Centres put their creativity on display at the FedUni Children’s Art Exhibition.

The event is held during Children’s Week (19 – 28 October), an annual celebration which champions the right of children to enjoy their childhood.

The exhibitions showcase artwork from FedUni’s Mt Helen and Ballarat CBD centres.

According to Sally Matthews, FedUni Children’s Centres Coordinator, the team at FedUni used EarlyWorks throughout the year to document the creativity and learning journey of their children.

Using the EarlyWorks app families were then able to see the Art Exhibition coming together during the year.

Parents were also invited to attend the exhibition using the EarlyWorks Calendar and Group Notes functions, and could easily RSVP using comments.

The event was attended by hundreds of parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles and friends.

Sally Matthews said the children had such a great time putting their artwork together throughout the year, and were so excited to be able to see it all on show.

FedUni were thrilled to see families using EarlyWorks to share photos of their little artists and using comments to celebrate the success of the evening.

What a wonderful way to build relationships and engage with the community! (Quality Area 6.2.3)

A big congratulations from the EarlyWorks team for hosting such a successful event.

If you have a story that you’d like us to share with the EarlyWorks community, we’d love to hear from you!
