New Vacation Care Mode setting for OSHC/OOSH
OSHC and OOSH services will often have a combination of both permanent and Vacation Care only children. Generally, Vacation Care only children records need only be active during school holiday periods.
Rather than making each individual child record active at the beginning of the holiday period and then inactive at the end of the holiday period, services can now use the new “Vacation Care Mode” setting within EarlyWorks.
Administrators can turn the “Vacation Care Mode” on and off as required from the Settings screen. For example, an administrator may set the mode ON a few days before a school holiday period starts for planning and then OFF a few days after the school holiday period ends.
For Vacation Care children, administrators and team leaders can then use the “Active only when Vacation Care Mode is ON” childstatus.
When the status is set to “Active only when Vacation Care Mode is on” the child status will be treated as “Active” when the Vacation Care Mode is On, otherwise it will be treated as “Inactive” (for experiences, daily communications, observations, journals and account billing)
