Being Proudly Productive

Being Proudly Productive

One of the joys of my role at EarlyWorks is visiting services. Today I had the pleasure of visiting Proudly Productive in Booragoon, Western Australia.  It was a very special time to visit, as Colleen and her amazing team of Proudly Productive leaders and team members have just celebrated their second birthday.

The Proudly Productive team members were being incredibly productive today.

Carter was kept busy serving customers in the Proudly Productive shop. When Carter wasn’t serving customers, he was designing clay characters to go with picture books that will be sold in the PP shop.

Amy, Kate and Kasey were putting all of their felting expertise into making scented felt shapes that will be going into the Autism West Symposium ‘show bags’ for attendees (helped along by the Mamma Mia soundtrack😊).

Meanwhile, PP manager Chris, was busily entering observations and outcomes into EarlyWorks.  If today is anything to go by, Chris will have a hard time keeping up with the outcomes being blitzed by the PP team members!

Before I left, I did make a little purchase from the PP shop: a very cute little family of felt people. The good news is, Colleen is offering hands on PDs to educators, showing how to make felt toys and other sustainable resources for early childhood settings.  So if you are wanting to address NQS 3.2.3 by being Environmentally responsible, by creating sustainable resources to support play-based learning (NQS 3.2.2) send Colleen an email at colleen@proudlyproductive.com.au .
